NOVA Youth Flag Program Overview

The Official Ashburn & Northern Virginia non-contact 5-on-5  flag football league and other i9 Sports programs are open to all kids ages 3 to 14. NOVA Youth Flag football has proudly served the community residents of Ashburn & Northern Virginia for the past thirteen years. The league offers both Spring and Fall League seasons as well as highly popular summer camp programs.  Merging with i9 Sports in the fall of 2010 has further expanded the sports offering. The philosophy of both leagues was so similar that it only made sense to combine the resources and provide more for the community.  Focus is always on players; first and foremost we want the children to "HAVE FUN", "development skills", "be safe", and "build confidence". We are here for all kids regardless of talent level. Programs are available for the beginner all the way up to the highly competitive travel league player.

The NOVA Youth Flag Football league has since become one of the largest "Youth Flag Football" programs in the United States based on player membership enrollment.  Through affiliation with i9 Sports nationwide, boys and girls ages 3-14 enjoy playing in this fun  youth program that promotes fitness and teaches youngsters valuable life lessons about teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play. NOVA Youth Flag offers non-contact continuous action with minimal equipment requirements. The kids, coaches, referees and parents have simply fallen in love with our structured, well organized, youth flag football program. Enrollment in our NOVA Youth Flag Football League has increased each year since our inaugural season back in the Fall of 1997 to the point where we fill to capacity with a wait list each season. Even with the added resources of i9 Sports our programs sell out and are a lot of fun for the youth of the community.

The NOVA Youth Flag Football League now has access to the nationwide infrastructure of the i9 Sports. Our online registration platform makes registration faster and easier for parents. Some additional benefits of the NOVA Youth Flag Football League partnership with i9 Sports include additional fields in the Ashburn area and play beyond Ashburn throughout the Loudoun County, affiliation and tournaments available throughout the National Capital Area, and  tighter age group divisions, more flexibility and timely ordering/shipment of equipment and jerseys.
